Happy Halloween! Fall is in full force and I couldn't be happier. Fall fashion is my favorite: boots, sweaters, and hats. I was excited when Quiz Clothing reached out to me to review a few of their new fall pieces. I selected this cozy crop-sweater, high-waisted belted pants, and platform boots. (When I read reviews, I look for sizing compared to body measurements, so I tend to share my sizing and how everything fits. Let me know if this is useful to you or if you'd like to hear other things in reviews. Feel free to skip ahead if this is tmi or boring to you. 🛒) I am 5'4" and about 110. (I'm 34" bust, 27" waist, and 37" hips.) I ordered a US 4 in the pants, a small in the top, and a size US 6 in the shoes. Everything fits great! The pants fit perfectly; but if you're on the border of the measurements, I suggest go a size up. The sweater runs large, so the small was the right choice. I almost ordered a medium because I like sweaters to be baggy, but I'm so glad I went by their sizing chart and what size the model was wearing. Besides the sweater fitting perfectly, the boots do too. I am normally a 6.5 in shoes, but they only carried full sizes, so I went with the US size 6 because UK 37 works for me. The boots fit very comfortably with socks. Lastly, I received so many compliments on this outfit!
Since Quiz Clothing offers a selection of beautiful dresses, I also ordered a sequined evening dress, but the sizing was off. The measurements of the size 4 said it would fit, (it's supposed to be 35" bust, 27" waist, 38" hips), but it's two inches too small on the (so it's more like 32" bust, 27"waist, 36" hips.) It fits fine on the hips and waist, but won't close up top. (I thought it would have been opposite since it's a mermaid design. Odd.) Overall, I like Quiz Clothing's causal wear. My experience was mostly positive. The clothing arrived quickly, and the pieces I picked are nice quality. The only thing that didn't work out was the dress, and they don't have an exchange policy. Here's the story behind my fave pumpkin this year. Growing up, my family would get together with another family and have dinner and watch scary movies every Halloween. The dinner would be themed and magazine ready. Everyone dressed in costumes, and the movies gave us nightmares until the next year. I loved it! Nowadays, the close family friends have moved away, but we keep in touch often visiting during Christmastime. Now, one of my favorite Halloween traditions is pumpkin decorating with my friends. We have gotten together for the past two years and enjoyed the festive fun. They take on the task of hollowing and carving, while I have chosen the paint/sharpie route.
