My Style: Skullduggery

Today's Look:  includes glitter, fringe, diagonal hems, and, most importantly, skulls.  Feminine skulls are a major trend that can be found in stores, on celebrities, etc.  Thanks to popular designers, such as Betsey Johnson and Alexander McQueen, skulls have come into style and trickled down from the flashy, high-end runway pieces to mainstream, everyday fashion.  To start the look off, I chose to be a little Goth and wear my black, diagonally hemmed skull dress.  I love this dress because it is comfortable, uniquely cut, and edgy.  I also love that the skull design is girly with swirls, flowers, and hearts. Matching the gray coloring of the skull, I wore silver sandals and jewelry.  Finishing off the look, I wore a black fringe purse, galaxy-looking nail polish, and chain-link, black-rimmed sunglasses.

Outfit Details:  Dress by AnM at Foot Fetish (Prescott, Arizona), Purse by American Eagle at ae.com, Sandals by Montego Bay Club at Payless (Prescott, Arizona), Stone Ring at Disney Vault 28 (Anaheim, California), Sunglasses by Wet Seal at Blink (Anaheim, California), Nail Polish called Hue Brighten My Day by Finger Paints at Sally's (Prescott, Arizona), Bracelet was a gift.

Fashion Tip:  Don't be afraid to wear skulls.  I know some people are still old fashioned, therefore thinking skulls are bad or rebellious, but in the fashion world's eyes they are in and fabulous.  Below,  I hand selected some cute skull items and included their links.  Enjoy!

My Style: Baggy Sweater & Patterned Shorts

Today's Look:  is all about the Southwest inspired patterned shorts.  With slate blue, black, white, and light brown coloring, the shorts are definitely exciting.  Since the shorts are eye-catching, I wore a simple black, oversized sweater, that I simply tucked in at the front, so the shorts' high-waist could be seen.  To match the black sweater and the shorts' diamond print, I wore black sandals.  Pulling out the brown in the shorts, I wore my suede fringe purse.  If I had worn a black purse, it would have blended in with my sweater too much.  Finishing off the look, I accessorized with a dual metal chain necklace, a white bracelet, stud skull earrings, and two rings.

Outfit Details:  Sweater at Gap (Scottsdale, Arizona), Shorts by Blu Pepper at Disney Vault 28 (Anaheim, California), Purse by Steve Madden at nordstrom.com, Sandals by Montego Bay Club at Payless (Prescott, Arizona), Necklace by American Eagle at ae.com.

Fashion Tip:  When wearing patterned shorts, wear a solid colored top to accentuate the pattern rather than fight.  Below, I included some pictures of cute patterned shorts and their website links.

My Style: Denim Cut-Out Dress

Today's Look:  is all about the ever growing popularity of the denim cut-out dress.  To start the look off, I chose to be a little daring and wear my skin-baring denim dress.  I chose this denim dress, as opposed to many others, because it's unique with its three cut-outs in the front, two in the back, and metal detailing.  Since the dress is edgy, I chose to wear my studded, black creepers and black ankle socks. To Pull in the chunky black shoes with a short dress, I wore my black wide brim hat and fringed suede purse.  Finishing off the look, I wore two rings, a bracelet, and diamond skull earrings.

My Style: Comic Book Crop Top

Today's Look:  is all about the comic book crop top and high-low skirt.  To start the outfit off, I chose to wear the vibrant, intricate comic book top.  The comic printed tops are a new trend.  Matching the short cut of the top, I wore the high-low skirt high on my hips, to make the outfit less revealing.  Finishing off the look, I wore black sandals, a black purse, a colorful bracelet, red stud earrings, and black round sunglasses.

My Style: Sheer Green & Lace

Today's Look:  has a hint of hipster and dash of wild west.  To start the look off, I chose my sheer green blouse and beige lace shorts.  The shorts are high-wasited, so normally I tuck tops into them, but today I felt like switching it up.  Matching the lace on my shorts, I chose my Steve Madden ankle boots, that are a light leather and include lace flourishing on the sides.  To contrast with the light brown of the boots, I wore dark boot socks and a dark brown necklace to pull it together.  Finishing off the look, I wore my fringe suede purse, beige bracelet, dark brown bracelet, two rings, and tarnished gold stud earrings.

Outfit Details: Shirt by Romy (Bellingham, Washington),  Shorts by Sparkle and Fade at Urban Outfitters (Scottsdale, Arizona), Lace Boots by Steve Madden at 6pm.com, Purse by Steve Madden at nordstrom.com, Bracelets at Target (Prescott, Arizona), Necklace by Forever 21 (Scottsdale, Arizona).

My Style: Red, White, and Blue

Today's Look:  is all about celebrating the 4th of July.  To start the look off, I chose my red crop-top.  The shirt has a v-neck and a faded effect that gives it a unique appearance.  Going along with the crop-top, I chose my high-waisted black skirt and cut-off, light denim vest. The light denim vest added the blue in the outfit, while the top and stud earrings added the red.  Since I wanted the outfit to have all three 4th of July colors, red, white, and blue, I incorporated the white by wearing white sandals, a white bracelet, and a white fringe purse.

Outfit Details:  Top by Milky Way USA at urbanog.com, Skirt by Cemi Ceri at urbanog.com, Vest by Yes! Miss at Charlotte Russe (Scottsdale, Arizona), Purse by Wet Seal at Blink (Anaheim, California), Sandals by Merona at Target (Prescott, Arizona), Bracelet at Charlotte Russe.

Fashion Tip:  If you are from the U.S.A. or visiting and have 4th of July plans, definitely dress patriotic.  Not only does dressing in red, white, and blue show off your American pride and respect, it's also fun and helps you get into the 4th of July spirit.  Today, you might also incorporate a purple ribbon in honor of the 19 Prescott firemen who died in the Yarnell fire.
