My Style: Sheer Madness

Today's Look: is all about the celebration of springtime.  In northern Arizona, the trees are beginning to blossom and the grass is just starting to turn green.  I couldn't wait to take some photos in front of this large flowering pear tree on my college campus.  But most of all, I couldn't wait to wear my brand new white sandals and sheer geometric-cutout dress.  Always exploring the latest trends, I just had to buy these sandals.  First, the name--they are made by Shellys London.  How could I resist a shoe by that name?  It's just such a great name ;) Second, if you haven't discovered the brand yet, please take a look at their website or look them up at retailers like Nordstrom, Macy's, and Urban Outfitters.  The designs are fresh and fun.  This particular pair is called Shellys London Portneuf.  Next for my dress, I gotta admit that sheer can be a little revealing, but I very much enjoyed rocking this bodycon from Charlotte Russe. It's definitely a great LWD (little white dress) which is a closet essential.  This particular geometric-cutout sheer dress is also sheer in back; I waited to wear it until I found the perfect boyfriend sweater as a modest accessory.  The combination is close to perfection for a casual spring outfit.  Hope you're enjoying the sunnier weather wherever you may be.   Xoxo, Shelly

Fashion Tip:  Boyfriend sweaters are a girl's best friend on a chilly spring day.  Sometimes they are called "oversized cardigans," so good luck shopping until you find the sweater or cardigan perfect for you.

Runway Fashion: Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter

Cara closing the Chanel Show
Since I am on Spring Break, I was excited to have the time to cover Paris Fashion Week!  Huge fashion houses such as Chanel, Miu Miu, Dolce & Gabbana, Stella McCartney, Christian Dior, and Louis Vuitton all premiered their fall/winter lines.  From sleek, hand-tailored suits to sparkly, dream-worthy gowns, I had a difficult time narrowing down the video selections, so I included as many as I could.  In some of the videos, you can catch glimpses of famous celebrities in the front row, like musicians Kanye West and Rihanna, as well as Vogue editors from around the world.  Kendall Jenner made an appearance in the Chanel show AND of course you can spot my favorite supermodel Cara Delevingne working the runway in multiple shows!  Xoxo

Featured Fashionista: Bianca Lara "A Hint of Mint"

Today's Look:  is very special!  For some fashion fun, I teamed up with one of my favorite stores, Charlotte Russe, and one of my favorite fashionistas/soon-to-be-sister-in-law, Bianca Lara, to showcase some of CR's hottest heels.  Being a fashion blogger, I tend to pass on my passion for fashion to others, which I adore doing!  Charlotte Russe also loves to spread the joy of fashion, so we couldn't wait to send two pairs of killer heels Bianca's way, one multicolored animal print and one splatter paint. Bianca wore the fabulous platform pumps today, styling them to perfection.  Bianca also decided to pull out her essential item for spring, a mint-colored flowing top which complimented the shoes beautifully.  The pattern of the shoes is so colorful that she was inspired to style the leopard print heels with black, faux-leather leggings and tousled, ombrĆ© hair.  Adding sweet finishing touches, Bianca wore dark, pink lipstick (matching the pink in the shoes) and silver jewelry for some sparkle.  Be sure to keep an eye out for more posts featuring Bianca coming your way soon on Arizona Girl!  Xoxo

Bianca's Fashion Tip:  You can look great and feel comfortable.  Beauty doesn't always have to be painful. Like these leggings, they are sexy, chic, AND comfy.

My Style: One of Those Days

Today's Look: is monochromatic and grungy-chic, styled for the last few chilly weeks of winter and the last few days of school until break.  First, I chose the soft and cozy sweater, perfect for a long day of classes.  I especially like this Charlotte Russe sweater for its unique light gray and black stripe design.  The stripes are big and flattering while the material is soft and comfy.  Next, I chose light gray skinny jeans and black combat boots, both great for keeping warm and walking across campus.  I wanted the blacks in the look separated yet unified.  For outerwear, I wore a black (without the) leather jacket and knitted beanie.  Finishing off the look, I accessorized with funky round shades, a beautiful charm necklace, and three fabulous rings. Spring break is next week and I CANNOT wait.  I'm so ready to sleep, sleep, AND sleep.  :)

Outfit Details:  Sweater & Boots courtesy of Charlotte Russe ❤, Jacket & Jeans by Express at express.com, Beanie & Glasses at urbanog.com, Necklace by Buckle at Buckle (Prescott, Arizona), Earrings by Destine Austrian Crystal at Sally Beauty Supply (Prescott, Arizona), Black Crystal Ring at Earthbound Trading Co. (Flagstaff, Arizona), Cross Ring by Forever 21 at forever21.com, Impress Nails at Walgreens (Prescott, Arizona), Chain Midi-Ring was a gift.

Fashion Tip:  For an ever classic too-cool-for-school look, a leather jacket and pair of combat boots will always be soulmates; they are the perfect pair to add edge and style to any outfit.
