My Style: Ravishing Retro

R
ose printed organza was used to make the most beautiful, retro styled dress in this little dream creation by Chicwish.  The sheer material is gorgeous with lining from the chest through the skirt, with every detail made with quality.  For the styling, I added two of my favorite accessories:  round sunglasses and black booties.  Because of the floppy-bow collar, I chose not to wear a necklace but did select some pretty rings.  Lastly, I chose a classy purse that went well with the retro feel of the dress.  Hope you like this outfit as much as I do :)  Xoxo, Shelly

My Style: White on White

A
s most of us know, many retail fashion trends come directly from the couture runways!  New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2015 showed many of us that white-on-white ensembles, crop tops, and sheer materials are all trends at the top of their game.  For this outfit, I combined all three elements.  Loving this lace crop top with a sheer back, eyelash lace trim, and zipper detailing, I styled it with white shorts that have crocheted lace trim in front.  I chose to add some warmer tones with the light brown, fringe bag and the beautiful, jeweled flat sandals (another 2015 spring trend shown on the runways by designers like Kate Spade).  Delicate jewelry added to the overall ethereal feel of the styling.  Lastly, I selected tan sunglasses instead of white, avoiding overuse of the white theme.  In northern Arizona right now, flowers are finally blooming, and I was thrilled to happen upon this lovely group of tiny white blossoms.  Let me know how you like to style white-on-white :)  Xoxo, Shelly

My Style: Exploring Gilbert

Arizona is amazing for endless places to explore and creative people to meet!  Recently, I became friends with a local photographer Regan Norton, and we have had a blast collaborating.  For our first photoshoot, we decided to meet up in Gilbert, AZ.  Although it's part of the Phoenix metropolitan area, it has a small-town vibe, which is nice and refreshing.  We wandered around to rustic, grungy backdrops that went perfectly with the look.  Check out more photos from our shoot on Regan's blog here (1, 2).  A funny coincidence--we both arrived wearing dresses from Urban Outfitters.  Ah, to find a kindred soul is so cool :)  Xoxo, Shelly

My Style: Serenity in Sedona

Sedona, Arizona, is sublime, with rose colored cliffs and bubbling streams.  For my day in Sedona, this outfit was the perfect combination of casual and classy.  It was comfortable for exploring the creek and all the beauty that Sedona has to offer.   Because Sedona has many gorgeous trails, I recommend for anyone going on the longer hikes that you wear hiking shoes or sneakers, but these shoes worked great for my day.  Besides being comfortably attired for exploring, I also felt dressy enough to dine at an upscale restaurant that evening.

If you are ever in Sedona, you must dine at HP Café.  For my foodies out there, my friends and I started with the delicious BBQ Chicken Lettuce Wraps.  Then I enjoyed the Oak Creek Salad with shaved green apples, dried cranberries, candied pecans, and blue cheese.  My dining companions recommend the Calamari Tacos and sweet potato fries with a side of chipotle blue cheese dip.  We ended the delicious, gourmet meal with the BEST chocolate mousse cheesecake ever.  Pretty sights, great shopping, incredible art, and delicious dining--such a sweet weekend :)  Xoxo, Shelly

P.S. I joined an amazing website called módnípeklo.cz.  Yes, it's really me!  (There was a fake profile incident.  Although I was flattered, I'm relieved that it was deleted.)  Check out my new/verified profile here.

My Style: Flare for Adventure

Slipping into a pair of comfy bells for an afternoon of relaxation is one of the best feelings ever.  I love this look which I styled for the Other's Follow x Puravida Bracelets Summer 2015 InstaLookbook (https://instagram.com/of_clothing/).  To the tribal print flare pants, I added a soft, cream top with crocheted fringe, beautiful festival inspired jewelry, a fringe purse, and the best sandals. For a bohemian inspired look, I recommend combining a choker with a long pendant necklace--see below how well the two pieces compliment one another.  Besides thinking about fashion, I hope you are taking time for yourself, whether it's reading a good book (or Teen Vogue) underneath a shady tree or enjoying a luxurious bubble bath.  Happy Thursday!  Xoxo, Shelly
