My Style: Shake Your Pom Poms

Today's Look:  is all about celebrating the hot pom pom trim trend!  I was so excited when one of my favorite stores, Missguided, contacted me to collab to show off this amazing dress that is ideal for summer.  The pink shades and floral print make me think of tropical paradise and summer love (perfect for vacationing in Tucson, Arizona, at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort).  I styled the dress with some of my favorite new accessories including navy socks from Soxxy, a delicate bracelet from Etsy artist Lesli Neal of firesky7, my iPad decked out in a beautiful skin from Clique Boutique, and pink sunglasses from Flagstaff's finest a.k.a. Basement Marketplace.  I wore white platforms with the socks to show off their unique knit and finished the look with a simple silver necklace, two rings, and blue crystal stud earrings.  You can't see all of it, but the resort I'm vacaying at has beautiful vegetation and scenery.  You'll get a glimpse of the resort's waterfall in an upcoming post!  I'm very excited to share it with you.  I hope you are all enjoying your summer adventures.  Please let me know your summer vacation musts in the comment section below!  I always love hearing from you.  Xoxo, Shelly

My Style: Rain, Rain, Go Away

Today's Look:  was taken in between monsoon rain showers in Sedona, Arizona.  In some of the photos, the background of red rock mountains is so pretty that it looks like a fake backdrop!  For today’s visit to beautiful Sedona, I decided to feature a line of clothing designed by MIHO from Japan.  MIHO has lived in New York since 2008 and started her clothing company called Miusigny in 2011.  Recently, she created a less expensive line for Miusigny called “Me.”  I am wearing the “Angel in HeavenMe tank in orange.  The tank is cut low with deep arm holes, inviting a lacey bralette to peak out.  Bralettes and camisoles are so pretty nowadays that we feel compelled to show them.  I especially thought about the white accents in this outfit—the white bralette, the white Dr. Martens, the white backpack, the white manicure, and the white necklace.  This is my second cow bone guitar pick necklace from Six Shooter Gifts; I love the antique rose charm on the necklace and also the infinity bracelet.  In addition to the white and orange palette, I added splashes of color through the fun, rainbow sunnies I bought while visiting Venice Beach and the pretty tiger-in-a-floral-jungle cell phone case from India Circus.  I’d like to hear how you style orange and especially how you style white Dr. Martens.  Xoxo, Shelly

Fashion Tip:  for us smaller chested chicas, lacy bralettes are a great way to be sexy while remaining oh-natural and comfy.

My Style: I Love You, to the Moon and Back

Today's Look:  features another amazing outfit from Garage, one of my favorite clothing companies.  To complete this photo shoot, I made a day trip to beautiful Flagstaff, Arizona.  Enjoying the Route 66 nostalgia, we strolled the historic downtown area and had difficulty choosing which local shops, restaurants, and galleries we enjoyed the most.  These photos were taken in a small alley between the best candy store called Sweet Shoppe & Nut House and my favorite Flag’ eatery called Mountain Oasis International Restaurant.  While walking downtown, I had people complimenting my skirt, my jewelry, and my purse—people in Flagstaff are so friendly and do not hesitate to give a shout-out.  I adore this tribal print double slit maxi skirt with the crisscross crop top, both from Garage.  To accessorize, I added some awesome jewelry—a delicate three-tiered letter necklace from Garage, a pretty guitar-pick shaped pendant from Six Shooter Gifts, incredible rings from Earthbound Trading Company, and gorgeous sparkling nut stud earrings from Liza Schwartz.  To complete the look, I added embellished round sunnies, Steve Madden sandals, and a zebra striped phone case to dress up my iPhone.  I know I've written a lot about the outfit, but what seems like a simple bohemian/festival ensemble actually takes putting together a lot of different elements.

My Style: I Don't Camp

Today's Look:  is about my new fav tank from GoodGirlTees.com.  Good Girl Tees carries a ton of sassy/amazing slogan tops and tees.  When I saw this tank top, it was love at first sight!  This is my new first date top, because I don’t like to camp and every guy needs to know that from the get go.  Now, don’t get me wrong--I like to river raft, kayak, hike, mountain bike, sit around the camp fire, and roast marshmallows just as much as the next person, but I need to sleep in a clean, safe environment.  Once every few years, I can suck it up and go camping, but, most of the time, I tell the guys to go and have fun.  But never fear, I am always willing to help with the cookout for dinner and especially the S’mores around the campfire, as long as I have a hotel reservation nearby.  haha  Getting back to the clothes. . . to style the top, I added a vintage plaid shirt from Beta Apparel, F21 denim cutoffs, and Vans sneakers—I was born in the ‘90s and seem to eternally love the grunge style from that decade even though I was very young.  I have been addicted to oversized plaid shirts for a little while now, and I was stoked with this one from Beta Apparel.  It's vintage, so used, but it's still great quality.  If you're a vintage fashionista definitely check the store out at BetaApparel.Etsy.com.  Accessorizing, I added my favorite choker, designed and created by PYKNIC2, and two new delicate bracelets, designed and created by Blue Suede Bracelet.  Discovering two artists who are creative and price their jewelry reasonably is a treasure I wanted to pass onto my readers.  I hope you’re having a great weekend!  Let me know if you go “glamping”—I heard that glamorous camping might be just what I’d like!  Xoxo, Shelly
