My Style: Born Free

This summer we've seen some definite continued trends with cut-out V necklines, distressed denim, faux fur bags, and mirrored glasses. The first time I ever noticed the cut-out V neckline on a graphic tee was on Kendall Jenner. As the trend caught on, designs have varied in size, placement, and shape of the cut-outs. I have loved seeing the trend evolve. I think the cut-out gives an oversized, normal tee some edge and pop.

For this street style look, I selected a patriotic graphic tee featuring the words " Born Free - Liberty or Death" and a medium size V cut-out. I ordered a medium because I like oversized tees, but a small would have been better since it's designed to be oversized. I styled the tee with cuffed high-waisted shorts and a cropped, fray-hemmed jacket. The jacket stood out to me for having the unique frayed edges. I ordered a medium in the jacket, because it has a smaller cut. Two of my favorite pieces of the look are the faux fur purse and floral boots. The bag is so fun and different from anything I own and same with the boots. The textures of both items are unexpected and the designs are whimsical. I think fashion should always be serious-fun. For accessories I wore mirrored, round sunnies, star hoop earrings, gold rings, and gold bracelets. Have you tried the cut-out tee trend? Let me know in the comments below! Xoxo, Shelly
