How to Add Snow to Your Photos & My Style: Be Happy

Have you ever wanted to add subtle snowflakes coming down in a still frame or add snow gently falling as a video overlay on your still shot? Well, I highly recommend PicLab app for adding snowflakes to stills and VidLab for adding animated snowfall to stills. They are free apps (you can upgrade and pay for more features, of course). They produce the most realistic snow effects that I have found. I was so excited that it snowed a bit in northern Arizona, but sometimes a camera can’t capture moving snow the way our eyes see it. I love adding a little more magic to my photos and wanted to share some of my secrets.

Besides the beautiful snow, I love styling looks for winter and colder weather. The “Be Happy” sweatshirt from Kersh is cozy and comfy. And these jeans are the best! 1822 Denim made these to look like leather but with some stretch--again, I’m into feeling comfortable and adore these sleek-looking jeans. Lastly, I’d like to highlight these boots from Not Rated, one of my fave shoe design & manufacturing companies. How cute are edgy wedge-heeled boots in the snow? The boots have great traction and warmth as well.

As always, I wish you a great week with lots of adventure and good health. Xoxo, Shelly
