Autumn Closet Staples

This post is sponsored by Kork-Ease

Happy fall, friends! It's that magical time of year again that brings holiday festivities, friends gathering, sweater weather, boot season, and cozy layering. Everywhere you look, you can find pumpkin spice treats and hot cocoa. It's a time of year that also warrants a little shopping. I am a true believer in quality over quantity. Over the years, I've decided that to add true substance to my closet, I should try only to add staple pieces--pieces that will last me years and years, keep me warm in the chilly weather, and look fabulous all season long.

My autumn closet staples always seem to come down to the core four: boots, sweaters, jeans, and tanks/tees. For example, this outfit consists of lovely, comfortable booties, a stunning, colorful sweater, dreamy-fit mom jeans, and a silky, sultry tank. The boots have just enough heel to make up for my genetic “short”comings and comfort for ease in wear and walking. I love the charcoal color and wooden heel. The Kork-Ease booties are top quality and gorgeous. I love the unique color of the leather upper and movement in the grain of the wood heels. They are the work of a true craftsman.

To show off the incredible boots, I styled them with the perfect pair of crop jeans. During boot season, I like to either tuck in skinny jeans or wear crop jeans that hit at just the right spot to showcase the footwear. Along with the blue denim, I selected a soft, striped sweater, that I french tucked into the high waist of the pants, to maintain a flattering silhouette. Under the sweater, I wore a silky tank top that is perfect for when I got hot and wanted to tie my sweater around my waist. All of these pieces can be styled in numerous ways and last a long time. They can also be worn during winter under a warm coat. One can never go wrong with a perfect pair of boots, a flattering pair of jeans, a snuggly sweater, and a classy tank top.

What are your fall closet staples? Let me know in the comments below! Xoxo, Shelly
