My Style: Chicwish x Arizona Girl

Dreamy is the word that comes to mind when you put on this Chicwish mild baroque embroidered dress in ivory and a pair of over-the-knee, lace up boots.  I am so impressed with the quality and the fit of the dress.  I recently just graduated and I had been searching for the ideal dresses for celebratory  gatherings and the ceremony itself.  When this dress (and another one I will showcase soon) arrived, I knew I had found the perfect special occasion dresses.  For all girls looking for the perfect party dresses, I definitely recommend checking out Chicwish.  I do have to say to go by the measurements that are stated on their website( and not by your usual size) because they are right on.  :)

Also, at photoshoots lately I have been playing the most addicting playlist and I have received requests for the song list.  I added the playlist to the top of my blog to share with all of you as well!  I am in love with the new, the up-and-coming, and the ones that deserve to be remembered again.  Xoxo, Shelly

Inside My Room

Being an artist, I always love to have color around me for inspiration; whether it's an illustrated folder or a Vera Bradley backpack at school, I love patterns and bright, bold spectrums to keep the creativity alive.  I recently just redecorated my bedroom thanks to a couple of amazing collaborations, and I am so excited to share it with you guys!  Earlier this year, I won a bedding makeover hosted by Teen Vogue x Bedding Style.  I was so surprised and happy!  When I saw this watercolor bedding, I knew it was the perfect one.  Next, Inkess asked me to collaborate and design my own pillow.  I was thrilled when it arrived, and to see my logo on a pillow was crazy!  (It matched the new bedding so perfectly which was an extra bonus.)  After working hard on my self-branding, it is gratifying to see how the logo is versatile on different platforms and items, like my pillow and cell phone case.  Lastly, keeping true to my Arizonian aesthetics, I selected a wall charger and power bank with a cactus pattern from Ankit.  Aren't they cool?  Well, I hope you enjoyed the sneak peek into my room!  I'd love to hear your room makeover stories or plans in the comments.  Xoxo, Shelly

My Style: Down to Earth

Discovering Desigual, I am in love with the intricate print, the soft material, and the beautiful cut of this perfect dress.  The blue, faux leather jacket from Desigual is another piece that is exquisite with stitching on the back and amazing detail.  I wanted to bring out the earth tones so I styled the pieces with a cognac colored tote and boots, which look like they were made for each other.  Don't you adore the design of the boots?  Add some quality jewelry from Free People and J. Jill and voilá.

Also, if you're looking to score some prizes, check my Instagram on Sunday for another camera + designer purse giveaway!  Xoxo, Shelly

"U.S. of O." Event Sponsored by NYDJ

Beautiful strappy heels, cuffed skinny jeans, and a silky blouse make a chic combo.  Add statement jewelry, a fringe purse, and a black hat and you've made the perfect outfit.  I was lucky enough to enjoy a day at the Scottsdale Fashion Square mall at the U.S. of O Event which was a fashion show for NYDJ clothing held at Nordstrom in Scottsdale, Arizona.  NYDJ is known for engineering a slim silhouette in dress, top, and jean designs.  O Magazine paired with the brand on tour to encourage women of all shapes and sizes that they are beautiful.   Adam Glassman, Creative Director for O Magazine, hosted the show and kept the energy high. I enjoyed meeting him, talking about New York, fashion, and the magazine industry.  Getting to select an outfit for the event, I was invited to the champagne reception and fashion show.  It was an enjoyable afternoon and a nice break from my studies.  BTW, my last two final exams at Yavapai College were yesterday.  Yay!  I now have my Associates of Applied Science in Graphic Design and am searching for where to live next year while attending ASU.  Summer vacation has officially started for me, and I'm going out tonight to celebrate Cinco de Mayo :)  Xoxo, Shelly

My Style: Wanderlust

Who's in the mood to travel for summer vacation?  I am!  I have a couple more finals on Monday and then I will officially have my two-year degree.  Yes, I decided to take a breather and not intern this summer.  Is that so awful?  I'm only a sophomore in college. . .  I hope to relax, rejuvenate, but also focus on blogging and get some stunning photos in great places ranging from southern Cali beaches to northern Nevada ranches.  This look expresses my yearning to travel and explore through beautiful Charlotte Russe items from the colorful serape head wrap that reminds me of South America to the western fringed boots that remind me of all the places to explore here in the West.  The dip-dye, high-low top is the softest rayon, and the shredded shorts are such a beautiful color.  The summer is an empty scrapbook and I can't wait to fill it!  I would love to hear about your summer plans in the comments! :)  Xoxo, Shelly
